Private Members' Business

At 11:00 a.m., pursuant to Standing Order 30(6), the House proceeded to the consideration of Private Members' Business.

The Order was read for the second reading and reference to the Standing Committee on Justice and Human Rights of Bill C-215, An Act to amend the Criminal Code (prohibited sexual acts).

Mr. Hanger (Calgary Northeast) , seconded by Mr. Solberg (Medicine Hat) , moved, — That the Bill be now read a second time and referred to the Standing Committee on Justice and Human Rights.

Debate arose thereon.

Pursuant to Standing Order 96(1), the Order was dropped from the Order Paper.

Business of Supply

The Order was read for the consideration of the Business of Supply.

Mrs. Wayne (Saint John) , seconded by Mr. Hearn (St. John's West) , moved, — That this House condemn the government for continuing to overstretch our military personnel and call on the government to increase spending more than is currently planned, as the Canadian Forces need more money simply to continue operating in a sustainable way.
