Government Orders

The Order was read for the consideration at report stage of Bill C-50, An Act to amend the statute law in respect of benefits for veterans and the children of deceased veterans, as reported by the Standing Committee on National Defence and Veterans Affairs without amendment.

Mr. Pagtakhan (Minister of Veterans Affairs) , seconded by Mr. Boudria (Minister of State and Leader of the Government in the House of Commons) , moved, — That the Bill be concurred in at report stage.

The question was put on the motion and it was agreed to.

Accordingly, the Bill was concurred in at report stage.

Pursuant to Standing Order 76.1(11), Mr. Pagtakhan (Minister of Veterans Affairs) , seconded by Mr. Boudria (Minister of State and Leader of the Government in the House of Commons) , moved, — That the Bill be now read a third time and do pass.

Pursuant to Standing Order 93(1), the Order was dropped to the bottom of the order of precedence on the Order Paper.


Pursuant to Standing Order 92(4), the 48th Report of the Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs, presented on Friday, October 10, 2003, was deemed concurred in.

Accordingly, Bill C-447, An Act to protect the institution of marriage, standing in the order of precedence on the Order Paper in the name of Mr. Hill (Macleod), was designated non-votable.
