Meeting No. 14

Tuesday, November 2, 1999

The Standing Committee on Transport met in a televised session at 6:02 p.m. this day, in Room 237-C, Centre Block, the Chair, Stan Keyes, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Gérard Asselin, Roy Bailey, Murray Calder, Bill Casey, Bev Desjarlais, Stan Dromisky, Joe Fontana, Michel Guimond, Ovid Jackson, Stan Keyes, Val Meredith.

In attendance: From the Parliamentary Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: John Christopher; June Dewetering, Researchers.

Witnesses: From the Office of the Commissioner of Official Languages: Dyane Adam, Commisssioner; Gérard Finn, Director General, Policy Branch; Michel Robichaud, Director General, Investigations Branch; Richard Tardif, Senior Legal Counsel and Director, Legal Services.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed consideration of its study on the future of the airline industry in Canada.

Dyane Adam made an opening statement and, with Gérard Finn, Michel Robichaud and Richard Tardif, answered questions.

At 6:32 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
