It was agreed that the Sub-Committee ask the Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs for an extension to submit its report up to December 13, 1996.

It was agreed that a memorandum be sent to all Members of the House of Commons in order to canvass their views on the subject of Private Members' Business items.

It was agreed,--That the sponsors of private members' bills and motions drawn on October 8, 1996 be invited to make a presentation on Tuesday, October 29, 1996.

It was agreed,--That the staff of the Sub-Committee prepare a brief letter to sponsors of private members' bills selected in the draw of October 8, 1996 concerning the lack of openings for any new votable bill.

It was agreed,--That the Clerk of the House be invited to appear before the Sub-Committee on Tuesday, October 29 at 12:00 (noon).
