The Sub-Committee on International Financial Institutions of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade met at 9:45 o'clock a.m. this day, in Room 112-N, Centre Block, the Acting Chair, Paddy Torsney, presiding.

Members of the Sub-Committee present: John Loney, Philippe Paré and Paddy Torsney.

Acting Member present: Herb Grubel for Bob Mills.

In attendance: From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Gerald Schmitz, Researcher.

Witnesses: From the African Development Bank: Omar Kabbaj, President; Dalphond Rwegasira, Senior Advisor to the President; Sandelle Scrimshaw, Canada's Executive Director to the African Development Bank; H'Midouche, Principal Cooperation Officer. From the International Financial Institutions, Multilateral Programmes Branch of the Canadian International Development Agency: Jim Carruthers, Director General; Peter Mousley, Director.

Omar Kabbaj made a statement and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.
