With regard to the protection of Lancaster Sound: (a) when does the government plan to complete the first phase of the feasibility study which was announced six years ago; (b) what is the timeframe in which the government expects the feasibility study to be completed; (c) will the government respect the Nunavut Planning Commission’s ruling to stop additional shipping through the Lancaster Sound region until the Interim Management Plan for the Lancaster Sound Marine Conservation Area is in place; and (d) who has lobbied the government against the development of the Lancaster Sound National Marine Conservation Area?
