Questions and responses 45th Parliament, 1st session May 26, 2025, to present

With regard to suppliers deemed ineligible or suspended under the government's Ineligibility and Suspension Policy: (a) what are the names of all suppliers currently listed as ineligible or suspended; (b) for each supplier, what is the reason for their ineligibility or suspension, including the specific offence, conduct, or breach cited; (c) for each supplier, on what date were they deemed ineligible or suspended, and what are the start and end dates of the ineligibility or suspension period; and (d) what criteria or processes are used by the Registrar of Ineligibility and Suspension to determine whether a supplier is deemed ineligible or suspended?

With regard to federal policy on oil and gas: (a) what assessments has the government conducted comparing regulatory requirements for domestic production and transportation of oil and regulatory requirements for the importation of foreign oil; (b) what conclusions were reached in each case; and (c) has the government conducted any analysis on whether existing policies create incentives to import foreign oil rather than develop domestic resources, and, if so, what are the details?

With regard to the government's policy on pipeline approvals: (a) what is the government's policy, including which specific parties or entities must agree or consent before an approval is given; and (b) how long will it take for the government to approve or reject any new pipeline proposal?

With regard to Transport Canada's work on a connected vehicles policy, and the Government of Canada's decision to permit the importation of 49,000 Chinese-made electric vehicles into Canada: (a) what is the current status of the policy; (b) when did Transport Canada begin work on the policy; (c) what is the expected timeline, including the dates, for the policy to be announced, finalized, and implemented; (d) which departments, agencies, Crown corporations, or other federal entities has Transport Canada consulted in the development of this policy, and how was each consulted; (e) in the development of this policy, how has Transport Canada considered security, cybersecurity, privacy, data, surveillance, foreign interference, supply chains, or national security risks associated with Chinese-made electric vehicles or connected vehicle technologies originating in China; and (f) since March 14, 2025, what are the details of all memoranda and briefing materials related to the policy, including, for each, the (i) date, (ii) title, (iii) subject, (iv) sender or author, (v) recipient, (vi) type of document, (vii) file number?

With regard to the "Statement from the Minister of Health on the Canada Health Act" issued on January 10, 2025, and described as coming into effect on April 1, 2026: (a) will this policy come into effect as of April 1, 2026, or has it been delayed, amended, or rescinded under the current government; (b) as of April 1, 2026, will a nurse practitioner who operates an independent primary care practice that is not covered by a patient's provincial or territorial health care plan be permitted to continue providing medically necessary physician-equivalent services, or will all such physician-equivalent services be required to be publicly insured and billed through the provincial or territorial health insurance plan with no direct charges to patients; and (c) how will the changes which come into effect on April 1, 2026, impact the federal delivery of healthcare for Indigenous and First Nations individuals?
