With regard to legal proceedings involving the First Nations Child and Family Caring Society: (a) what are the details of all cases in which the Attorney General of Canada is the complainant, including, the (i) citation, (ii) file number, (iii) date, (iv) court or tribunal, (v) total expenditures; and (b) what are the details of all cases in which the Attorney General of Canada is the respondent, including, the (i) citation, (ii) file number, (iii) date, (iv) court or tribunal, (v) total expenditures?

With regard to federal funding for the Paper Excellence Group and its subsidiaries since 2006: (a) what have been the federal investments, loans and subsidies, broken down by (i) fiscal year, (ii) project, (iii) total contribution, (iv) funding program, (v) type of funding; and (b) what transparency and accountability measures are in place to ensure that funds meant to create jobs and revitalize communities are used for these purposes?

With regard to the decision not to designate the Vista Coal Mine Phase II Expansion pursuant to the Impact Assessment Act: how does this decision align with the commitments in the mandate letter of the Minister of Environment and Climate Change to (i) continue Canada’s leadership on the global effort to phase out coal-powered electricity and the mining of thermal coal, (ii) ban thermal coal exports from and through Canada as swiftly as possible, and no later than 2030?

With regard to the Canada School of Public Service, broken down by department: (a) how many government employees, broken down by unit and percentage of total employees, have completed the Indigenous Learning Series, as of June 10, 2021; (b) is participation in the Indigenous Learning Series mandatory; (c) are new employees expected to complete any part of the Indigenous Learning Series as part of their training; (d) how many employees have access to the available learning products of the Indigenous Learning Series; (e) are employees, both new and experienced, given time to complete training through the Indigenous Learning Series during contracted working hours; and (f) what percentage of content available through the Canada School of Public Service is available in an Indigenous language?

With regard to the Public Health Agency of Canada's (PHAC) work to prepare its Canadian Child Welfare Information System (CCWIS) report: (a) with which governments, organizations, and associations is the PHAC partnering to ensure this report is completed; (b) from which data sources does the CCWIS collect information to inform the policies and programs aimed at improving child and family health in Canada; and (c) by what date will the PHAC publish its second report using the CCWIS’s data?

With regard to negotiations between First Nations and the federal government, since 2015, broken down by year: how many non-disclosure agreements or confidentiality agreements have been (i) offered by the federal government to First Nations, (ii) signed?

With regard to the government’s commitment to close the infrastructure gap on First Nations reserves by 2030: (a) does the Minister of Indigenous Services agree with the Auditor General of Canada’s findings in the 2024 Reports 2 to 4 to the Parliament of Canada, which said that Indigenous Services Canada is not on track to end the housing infrastructure gap; (b) does the government believe it is on track to meet the mandate assigned to the Minister; and (c) in what year does Indigenous Services Canada believe the infrastructure gap facing First Nations will close?

With regard to the Department of Indigenous Services 2023-24 Departmental Plan, broken down by fiscal year for 2023-24, 2024-25, and 2025-26: (a) what is the total number of full-time equivalents who will be removed due to the sunset of funding for the continued implementation of Jordan’s Principle; (b) what is the total number of full-time equivalents who will be removed due to the sunset of funding for the Inuit Child First Initiative; (c) what indicators does the department use to demonstrate that the department will receive fewer requests for funding under Jordan’s Principle or the Inuit Child First Initiative over the next three fiscal years; and (d) what indicators does the department use to demonstrate that the health care needs of First Nations, Métis and Inuit children will decrease in the next three fiscal years?

With regard to the implementation and processing of claims under the Inuit Child First Initiative, broken down by fiscal year since its implementation: (a) broken down by regional focal point, what is the (i) number of urgent requests received, (ii) total number of requests received, (iii) number of urgent requests approved, (iv) total number of requests approved, (v) number of urgent requests denied, (vi) total number of requests denied, (vii) total amount of funding requested, (viii) total amount of funding approved; (b) broken down by regional focal point, what is the total number of staff available to process requests who are (i) full-time equivalent, (ii) part-time equivalent, (iii) on temporary contracts; (c) reflected as a number and a percentage, how many of the urgent requests in (a) were processed within 12 hours (i) after receiving first contact, (ii) after receiving all necessary information; and (d) reflected as a number and a percentage, how many of the non-urgent requests in (a) were processed within 48 hours (i) after receiving first contact, (ii) after receiving all necessary information?

With regard to the government’s efforts to support food price stabilization, since October 2023: (a) what indicators does the government use ensure that its efforts are making a meaningful difference to stabilize grocery prices; and (b) what accountability measures exist to ensure that grocery retailers are keeping their commitment to stabilize food prices based on the indicators in (a)?

With regard to all federal funding committed to the creation and maintenance of housing stock in the Yukon broken down by fiscal year since 2015-16: (a) what is the total amount committed; (b) what was the total amount spent; (c) how much new housing stock was created in the Yukon; and (d) what are the government's projections on the number of housing units that will be built in the Yukon by 2030?

With regard to all federal funding committed to the creation and maintenance of housing stock in the Northwest Territories, broken down by fiscal year since 2015-16: (a) what is the total amount committed; (b) what was the total amount spent; (c) how much new housing stock was created in the Northwest Territories; and (d) what are the government's projections on the number of housing units that will be built in the Northwest Territories by 2030?

With regard to the $4 billion in budget 2022 to accelerate closing Indigenous housing gaps, and broken down by fiscal year: (a) what is the total amount of funding given to (i) Indigenous governments, (ii) Indigenous non-profits or not-for-profit housing providers, (iii) for-profit housing providers, (iv) individuals to support housing projects; and (b) what is the total amount of lapsed spending for each fiscal year this funding was made available?

With regard to the Nutrition North program, broken down by province or territory and fiscal year since 2015-16: (a) what is the total amount of funding directed towards culturally appropriate retail and community-based nutrition education activities; (b) how many initiatives received funding for the purpose of (i) nutrition workshops, (ii) healthy cooking classes, (iii) in-store sampling of healthy food, (iv) knowledge and skill building related to traditional or country food harvesting and preparation, (v) gardening, (vi) training of community workers, (vii) the development of local nutrition education materials; and (c) what are the details of all initiatives in (b), including the (i) name of the community, organization, or company that received funding, (ii) date the funding was received, (iii) amount of funding?

With regard to the Aboriginal Head Start in Urban and Northern Communities program, broken down by fiscal year and province or territory, since November 2015: (a) what is the annual budget of this program; (b) what are the details of all activities funded by this program, including the (i) community or First Nation that received funding, (ii) amount of funding received, (iii) number of children expected to benefit; (c) how many proposals for funding were denied funding; and (d) what is the total amount of lapsed spending by this program?

With regard to the handling of cases and claims pursuant to the Indian Residential School Settlement Agreement by the Department of Justice Canada, Indigenous Services Canada and Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada: how much has been spent on settled cases, request for direction, and other proceedings where Canada has been either the plaintiff or defendant before the appellate courts (such as the Ontario Superior Court or the Supreme Court of British Columbia), related to survivors of St. Anne’s Residential School between 2013, and June 1, 2023 (i) in total, (ii) broken down by year?

With regard to the government’s thought-leaders senior reference group referred to in a February 2022 briefing note prepared for Natural Resources Canada deputy minister John Hannaford: (a) what were the criteria for selecting members of this group; (b) what is the membership of this group, including the names of individuals and organizations represented; (c) what are the details of all former members of this group, including the names of individuals and organizations represented; (d) what are the details of all meetings held by this group, including (i) the date of the meetings, (ii) the minister and government officials in attendance, (iii) whether minutes of the meetings were recorded; (e) what recommendations did the group make regarding the government’s Carbon Management Strategy; and (f) what are the details of all reports, including draft reports, prepared by this group, including the (i) date they were prepared, (ii) recommendations included, and (iii) recipients of the reports?

With regard to the handling of cases and claims pursuant to the Indian Residential School Settlement Agreement by the Department of Justice Canada, Indigenous Services Canada, and Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada: (a) why did 215 survivors of St. Anne's Indian Residential School not get notice and not get proper evidence for their abuse claims; (b) what exactly were the third party obligations to the Catholic Church that were honoured by the government; and (c) in the documents to be sent, or already sent, to the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation as a result of a memo of agreement signed by the government in 2022, do any contain details of child abuse?
