With regard to government radio advertising: (a) how much has the government spent on promoting Canada’s Economic Action Plan through advertising in British Columbia; and (b) when was each advertisement aired, and on which radio station?

With regard to government magazine advertising: (a) how much has the government spent on promoting Canada’s Economic Action Plan through advertising in British Columbia; and (b) when was each advertisement published, and in which magazine?

With regard to the Canadian mission in Afghanistan: (a) which Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA)-funded programs from 2006 to present day involve or concern the Afghan judiciary or corrections systems, (i) what amounts of monies have been allocated to date for such programs, (ii) what amounts of monies have been spent to date on such programs, (iii) what are the documented outcomes or progress reports returning from these programs, (iv) are there plans to alter the aforementioned programs; and (b) will CIDA be funding new programs involving the Afghan judiciary or corrections systems this fiscal year?

What funds, grants, loans and loan guarantees has the government issued through its various departments and agencies in the constituency of Esquimalt—Juan de Fuca, including Canadian Forces Base Esquimalt, for the period of January 24, 2006 to October 31, 2007, inclusive and in each case, where applicable: (a) what was the program under which the payment was made; (b) what were the names of the recipients; (c) what was the monetary value of the payment made; and (d) what was the percentage of program funding covered by the payment received?

Why has the statement of requirements to replace the fixed wing search-and-rescue (SAR) aircraft, the Buffalo, been changed to increase the minimum flight speed to 140 knots, which is higher than the speed needed for SAR mission activities?

With respect to the recent wind storms in British Columbia and the need for disaster relief funding other than for Stanley Park, how much has the government committed to the Province of British Columbia for disaster relief?

With regard to the government’s proposed cut to the armed forces post-living differential: (a) what are the government’s reasons for the cut; (b) what formula did the government use to calculate the cut to the post-living differential; (c) in what way, if any, does the government plan on compensating Canadian soldiers for this loss in income; and (d) will the government reverse its decision to cut the armed forces post-living differential?

For the fiscal years 1993-1994, 1994-1995, 1995-1996, 1996-1997, 1997-1998, 1998-1999, 1999-2000 and 2000-2001, from all departments and agencies of the government, including crown corporations and quasi/non-governmental agencies funded by the government, and not including research and student-related grants and loans, what is the list of grants, loans, contributions and contracts awarded in the constituency of Esquimalt—Juan de Fuca, including the name and address of the recipient, whether or not it was competitively awarded, the date, the amount and the type of funding, and if repayable, whether or not it has been repaid?

With respect to the Air Travellers Security Charge announced in the December 2001 Budget that took affect on May 1, 2002, and subsequent announcements by the Ministers of Finance and Transport that the tax would be adjusted downward if the government collected more revenue than necessary to improve air security: (a) what are the revenues from the tax; (b) how much of the revenue collected since May 1, 2002 has gone into (i) the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority, and (ii) general revenue; (c) if monies have gone into general revenue, how has this money been spent to improve air security; and (d) when will the Minister of Finance announce an adjustment to the tax?

With respect to the Challilo Dam project on the Macal River in Belize, will the Minister for International Cooperation indicate to the House: (a) the findings of CIDA's environmental assessment report; (b) all cost incurred by CIDA concerning the dam; (c) CIDA's involvement in approving or encouraging the construction of the dam; (d) any financial ties between CIDA and Fortis Inc.; and (e) any financial ties between CIDA and AMEC E&C Services Ltd.?

With regard to the tragic civil conflict in Sudan: (a) has the Minister of Foreign Affairs developed a comprehensive strategy to engage the government of Sudan and the Sudanese People's Liberation Army (SPLA) in constructive peace talks; and (b) has the Minister developed a plan to work with the private sector, NGOs and other shareholders to rewrite the Special Economic Measures Act (SEMA) in order to provide unambiguous guidelines for Canadian companies wishing to invest abroad?

With regard to the installation of Rogers and Seacoast Communications' towers and transmitters in Colwood, B.C.: (a) did Industry Canada comply with their own rules in the granting of approvals; (b) if not, has Industry Canada taken corrective action and instructed the owners to relocate their towers; and (c) did the Minister of Industry consult with the municipality of Colwood ?
