Bill C-354, An Act to amend the Department of Public Works and Government Services Act (use of wood)| In accordance with its Order of Reference of Wednesday, February 7, 2018, your Committee has considered Bill C-354, An Act to amend the Department of Public Works and Government Services Act (use of wood), and agreed on Tuesday, March 27, 2018, to report it with the following amendment: Clause 1 That Bill C-354, in Clause 1, be amended by replacing lines 7 to 12 on page 1 with the following: “(1.1) In developing requirements with respect to the construction, maintenance or repair of public works, federal real property or federal immovables, the Minister shall consider any reduction in greenhouse gas emissions and any other environmental benefits and may allow the use of wood or any other thing — including a material, product or sustainable resource — that achieves such benefits.” |
