The Speaker declared that, in light of the statement of Mr. Del Mastro (Peterborough), any further proceedings on the privilege motion standing in the name of Mr. Julian (Burnaby—New Westminster) were now unnecessary.
Accordingly, the Order for consideration of the motion was dropped from the Order Paper.

The Speaker ruled that the order for concurrence at report stage of Bill C-461, An Act to amend the Access to Information Act and the Privacy Act (disclosure of information), be discharged and that the Bill be withdrawn, as the sponsor of the Bill, Mr. Rathgeber (Edmonton—St. Albert), indicated that he did not wish to move the motion to concur in the Bill, as amended, at report stage.

The Speaker ruled that Bill C-317, An Act to amend the Income Tax Act (labour organizations), standing on the Order Paper in the name of Mr. Hiebert (South Surrey—White Rock—Cloverdale), was improperly before the House and declared the Order for second reading proceedings null and void.
Accordingly, the Order for second reading of the Bill was discharged and the item was dropped from the Order Paper.
