Madam Chair, I'll be sharing my time with the member for Edmonton Strathcona.
Yesterday the Liberal government received quite a slap in the face when it failed to win a seat on the UN Security Council.
Did the Liberal government fail to win the seat because it's completely missing the greenhouse gas reduction targets?

Thank you, Mr. Chair.
I am presenting two petitions. The first, which has been signed by over 1,000 people, points out that artists, artisans and technicians are at the heart of our cultural industry. These jobs, which are already precarious, have been hard hit by the current pandemic-related crisis. They expect to receive financial support. Pilot projects on guaranteed income, particularly in Finland, show all the benefits this can bring. These people are therefore asking that a guaranteed minimum income be granted to people in the cultural field and, subsequently, if possible, to all Quebeckers and Canadians.
My second petition has been signed by over 2,800 people. It is recognized that many refugee protection claimants registered and worked during the crisis in our health care system, particularly in long-term care facilities, and that they also performed other essential tasks. These 2,800 people are asking that the status of these asylum seekers be regularized. These people are asking that at least permanent resident status be granted to these claimants in recognition of all the work they have done here in caring for our seniors and patients, among others. Their goal is for these claimants to be able to continue their lives in Quebec and Canada.

Thank you, Madam Chair.
The Black Lives Matter movement is right to discuss systemic racism in our societies. In Montreal, the city and the police department have recognized this, and measures will be put in place.
The Liberal government, once again, is all talk and no walk. Although it spends $10 million a day, we see no attempt to reform or change the RCMP.
If the Prime Minister really wants to act, why is he delaying the action plan in response to the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls?

We've been asking questions about it for months, and as I see it, we should keep doing so.
The Prime Minister's new pipeline, which taxpayers were forced to buy with their hard-earned money, has leaked. Some 190,000 litres of oil spilled, and we can't even make the company pay for it because the Liberals bought the pipeline.

Across Quebec, the cultural community is going through a harrowing time. Unions, associations, artists and creators have all taken part in public demonstrations recently to condemn the lack of a specific plan for the living arts, performing arts and festival sector.

Well, that wasn't at all what the artists and creators who were out demonstrating in the streets a few days ago thought. They were protesting on the weekend.
The CERB extension announced by the government only brings us to September, but the cultural community is expecting the worst in the fall.

Thank you, Madam Chair.
In Quebec, 55,000 people are waiting for social housing. Groups are demanding social housing. Montreal wants to provide social housing, like Quebec City and like Ottawa.
Ottawa is asking Quebec City to provide social housing, but Quebec City replies that no one can ask it to do what it already wants to do.

The minister is very good at listing past measures, but much less so in telling us about what he is going to do in the future. For workers in tourism or culture and for the artists and craftspeople, the CERB will end on July 4.
The Union des artistes, ACTRA, and the Fédération nationale des communications et de la culture are worried.
I have one quick question. What are all those people going to do on July 5?
