Thank you, Mr. Chair.
Thank you to all for being here.
Ms. Joe, you said that hospitals need indigenous midwives to protect women from racism and sexism.
How can we better train our medical professionals to ensure measures are developed to safely include indigenous culture in the health system?

Thank you, Chair.
Thank you all for being here and for raising all the issues.
The first question goes to Dr. James Brophy or Dr. Margaret Keith.
You said you published two books. You mentioned an intoxicated person attacking...prevention can be accomplished.
We heard from Public Services Health and Safety. They have a tool kit. Do you think that tool kit can be factored into that long-term or hospital setting?

I want to ask a question to the Alzheimer Society and the BC Nurses' Union.
Structural and environmental changes and education is the key. Do you think when we are talking about the health care providers' safety, we need to educate them? How important is it to educate patients or patients' families?
Merci.

Thank you, Mr. Chair.
Thanks to all of you for being here.
My question is for William Riker.
The committee witnesses who appeared before you highlighted the importance of having a robust security protocol surveillance system. You've stated that violence is the fourth-highest cause of injuries in health care and that we need to take a proactive approach. What kind of proactive approach should we take?

Thank you, Chair. Thank you all for being here.
First of all, I want to thank my colleague for bringing Motion No. 206. I seconded it. I spoke on that. I'm chair of an all-party diabetes caucus. I know that obesity is a big risk factor for diseases, and I think we have a big burden on the health care system. Obesity rates are going higher and higher, as you know.
We need to do a lot more. As you said, this is a shared responsibility between provincial and federal levels.
What kinds of programs do you think can be set up so kids can do more physical activities? Do you think we should give incentives to recreational centres, so that when kids have time, they can go? I know school programs are great, but after school, what is there for them?

Thank you, Mr. Chair. Thank you all for being here.
Dr. Gill, I represent Brampton South. Thank you for serving Bramptonians. I know we have approximately 900,000 residents but just one hospital.
We heard last week about crowded hospitals, lack of physicians, and cyber- bullying. You also mentioned that. Can you explain to me how we can prevent physicians or health care professionals from cyber-bullying?

Cybersecurity is one main priority for our government. If you have any solutions, you can email us.
If any of you has a suggestion on how the federal government can address that issue, please send it to us or email it to us, and we will look into it.
How can we defuse the situation of training for health care professionals? Can you talk about that?
