Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(g), the committee commenced consideration of Report 2, Connectivity in Rural and Remote Areas, of the 2023 Reports 1 to 4 of the Auditor General of Canada, referred to the committee on Monday, March 27, 2023.

It was agreed, — That the draft report prepared for the committee in relation to its study of Report 2, Connectivity in Rural and Remote Areas, of the 2023 Reports 1 to 4 of the Auditor General of Canada in the 1st Session of the 44th Parliament, be considered by the committee.

It was agreed, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "Connectivity in Rural and Remote Areas".

It was agreed, — That the Chair, clerk and analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the committee request that the government table a comprehensive response to the report.

It was agreed, — That dissenting or supplementary opinions be in Calibri 12-point font, left aligned, single-spaced, and be submitted electronically, in both official languages, to the clerk of the committee, not later than 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 21, 2025.

ORDERED, — That the clerk and analysts of the committee, in consultation with the Chair, prepare a news release for publication on the committee’s website and for distribution upon presentation of the report to the House.

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(g), the committee commenced consideration of Report 1, Forests and Climate Change, of the 2023 Reports 1 to 5 of the Commissioner of the Environment and Sustainable Development, referred to the committee on Thursday, April 20, 2023.

It was agreed, — That the draft report prepared for the committee in relation to its study of Report 1, Forests and Climate Change, of the 2023 Reports 1 to 5 of the Commissioner of the Environment and Sustainable Development in the 1st Session of the 44th Parliament, be considered by the committee.

It was agreed, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: “Forests and Climate Change".

It was agreed, — That the Chair, clerk and analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

It was agreed, — That, notwithstanding the usual practices of the committee concerning access to and distribution of documents,

  1. up to three associate members of the committee per party be authorized to receive the notices of meetings and notices of motion and be granted access to the digital binder;
  2. that the associate members be designated by the offices of the whips of each recognized party and sent to the committee clerk; and
  3. that the provisions of this motion expire as of Monday, January 26, 2026, unless otherwise ordered.

At 12:48 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
