It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the committee undertake a study examining the security and defence opportunities and potential for Arctic transformation, given the recent federal investments in Arctic security, specifically how multi-purpose infrastructure can support regional development, research initiatives, and Canada’s defence posture and role within alliances; that the study explore how enhancing partnerships with Indigenous partners and organizations, Nordic Countries (Norway, Finland, Sweden, Iceland and the Kingdom of Denmark and Greenland), and NATO allies could strengthen regional security, enhance domain awareness, strengthen the Canadian Armed Forces capabilities, and support Canada’s national security and defence; that the committee evaluate how promoting economic resilience, industrial capacities, and research and development opportunities aligns with Canada’s national security and defence posture at home and aboard; that the committee hold a minimum of five meetings on this topic; and that the committee report its findings and recommendations to the House.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the study of the impact of the Defence Industrial Strategy, the deadline for the submission of recommendations, be Friday, August 14, 2026, at 4:00 p.m.
