Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, April 16, 2026, the committee resumed its study of economic and supply chain impacts of U.S. tariffs on Canada's metallurgical and advanced manufacturing sectors.

The committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

At 4:19 p.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 4:27 p.m., the meeting resumed in public.

At 5:48 p.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 5:53 p.m., the meeting resumed.

Nicholas Giurietto and David Pegley made statements and answered questions.

At 6:27 p.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 6:34 p.m., the meeting resumed in camera.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $19,900.00 for the study of financial fraud and scams in Canada, be adopted.

At 7:12 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
