Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Monday, September 22, 2025, the committee resumed its study of opportunities, risks, and regulation of AI in Canada’s strategic industries.

Yoshua Bengio, Colin J. Bennett and Michael Geist made statements and answered questions.

At 4:37 p.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 4:47 p.m., the meeting resumed.

 Dr. Carys Craig, Wendy Cukier and Ali Dehghantanha made statements and answered questions.

It was agreed, — That the proposed supplementary budget in the amount of $381.05, for the study of Canada's Underlying Productivity Gaps and Capital Outflow, be adopted.

At 5:51 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
