Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, September 18, 2025, the committee resumed its study of the factors determining opening and closing dates of marine harvesting seasons.

Alberto Wareham, Andrea Paul, and Jason McLinton made statements and, with Grant Dovey, answered questions.

At 11:52 a.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 11:59 a.m., the meeting resumed.

Claire Mavin, Ghislain Cyr, Michael Barron and Aidan Fisher made statements and answered questions.

At 12:51 p.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 1:31 p.m., the meeting resumed in camera.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $400, for the study of the Publication of a Report on Four Wind Energy Areas in the Offshore of Nova Scotia, be adopted.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, the committee resumed the review of the Fisheries Act.

The committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

At 1:42 p.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 1:51 p.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 1:52 p.m., the meeting resumed.

At 1:59 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
