The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $500, for consideration of the subject matter of Clauses 553 to 570 (Division 33) of Bill C-15, An Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on November 4, 2025, be adopted.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, September 18, 2025, the committee commenced its study of marine and coastal protections.

Alex Caveen, Ray Hilborn, Grant Dovey and Katelyn Lindsay made statements and answered questions.

At 5:32 p.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 5:35 p.m., the meeting resumed.

Evan Edinger, Stephen Woodley and Ian MacPherson made statements and, with Melanie Giffin, answered questions.

At 6:13 p.m., Mel Arnold took the Chair.

At 6:36 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
