Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, the committee resumed the review of the Fisheries Act.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $500, for the briefing with the Minister of Fisheries, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $500, for the briefing by the Commissioner of the Environment and Sustainable Development - 2025 Report - Establishing Marine Protected Areas, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $35 400, for the study of marine and coastal protections, be adopted.

Leigh Fox and Peter German made statements and answered questions.

At 9:16 a.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 9:23 a.m., the meeting resumed.

Adam Burns made a statement and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.

At 10:23 a.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
