Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Monday, June 16, 2025, the committee resumed its study of gender-based violence and femicides against women, girls and gender-diverse people.

The committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

At 5:23 p.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 5:33 p.m., the meeting resumed.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Monday, June 16, 2025, the committee resumed its study of coercive behaviour.

The committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

It was agreed, — That the draft report be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "Coercive Control in Canada".

It was agreed, — That the Chair, clerk and analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

It was agreed, — That dissenting or supplementary opinions be in Calibri 12-point font, left aligned, single-spaced, and be submitted electronically, in both official languages, to the clerk of the committee, no later than noon on Thursday, November 6, 2025.

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

ORDERED, — That the clerk and analysts of the committee, in consultation with the Chair, prepare a news release for publication on the committee’s website and for distribution upon presentation of the report to the House.

ORDERED, — That the clerk of the committee make the necessary arrangements for a press conference to be held after the presentation of the committee's report to the House on coercive behaviour; and that the committee be represented by the Chair and a representative from each party.

At 5:47 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
