Pursuant to Standing Order 81(4), the committee commenced consideration of the Main Estimates 2026-27: Votes 1 and 5 under Department for Women and Gender Equality, referred to the committee on Thursday, February 26, 2026.

The Chair called Vote 1 under Department for Women and Gender Equality.

The Minister made a statement and, with Frances McRae and Etienne-René Massie, answered questions.

At 4:34 p.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 4:38 p.m., the meeting resumed.

Vote 1 under Department for Women and Gender Equality, less the amount voted in the interim supply, carried on division.

The Chair called Vote 5 under Department for Women and Gender Equality.

ORDERED, — That the Chair report Votes 1 and 5 under Department for Women and Gender Equality, less the amounts voted in the interim supply, to the House.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That witness lists for the study of labour force impacts of menopause and perimenopause be submitted to the clerk no later than Thursday, May 21, 2026.

At 5:29 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
