Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, the committee resumed its study of abuse and financial vulnerability of senior women.

The witnesses made statements and answered questions.

At 4:33 p.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 4:39 p.m., the meeting resumed in camera.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Monday, September 15, 2025, the committee resumed its study of section 810 of the Criminal Code and women's safety.

The committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

It was agreed, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "Preventing Violence Against Women: Criminal Code Peace Bonds, Bail and Sentencing Reforms in Canada".

It was agreed, — That the Chair, clerk and analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

It was agreed, — That dissenting or supplementary opinions be in Calibri 12-point font, left aligned, single-spaced, and be submitted electronically, in both official languages, to the clerk of the committee, no later than 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 7, 2026.

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

ORDERED, — That the clerk and analysts of the committee, in consultation with the Chair, prepare a news release for publication on the committee’s website and for distribution upon presentation of the report to the House.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Monday, September 15, 2025, the committee resumed its study of antifeminist ideology.

The committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

At 5:36 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
