Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Monday, September 15, 2025, the committee resumed its study of antifeminist ideology.

Marie-Eve Carignan and Liza Lorenzetti made statements and answered questions.

At 5:25 p.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 5:29 p.m., the meeting resumed.

Michael Kehler and Sue Bookchin made statements and answered questions.

Motion

Andréanne Larouche moved, — That the committee add three additional meetings to the ongoing study on antifeminism, in order to allow for the hearing of additional witnesses and the further examination of the issues raised;

That these meetings be scheduled at the next available opportunity in the committee’s calendar; and

That the Clerk take the necessary steps to invite witnesses and organize the sessions.

Debate arose thereon.

Amendment

Marie-Gabrielle Ménard moved, — That the motion be amended

(a) by replacing the word “three” with the word “two”

(b) by deleting the words “That these meetings be scheduled at the next available opportunity in the committee’s calendar”.

After debate, the question was put on the amendment of Marie-Gabrielle Ménard and it was agreed to.

The motion, as amended, read as follows:

That the committee add two additional meetings to the ongoing study on antifeminism, in order to allow for the hearing of additional witnesses and the further examination of the issues raised; and

That the Clerk take the necessary steps to invite witnesses and organize the sessions.

At 6:29 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
