Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Monday, September 15, 2025, the committee resumed its study of section 810 of the Criminal Code and women's safety.

Pierre Brochet, Patrick Michel and Louise Riendeau made statements and, with Audrey Mercier-Turgeon, answered questions.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

By unanimous consent, on motion of Dominique Vien, it was agreed, — That, notwithstanding the usual practices of the committee concerning access to and distribution of documents,

  1. up to three associate members of the committee per party be authorized to receive the notices of meetings and notices of motion and be granted access to the digital binder;
  2. that the associate members be designated by the offices of the whips of each recognized party and sent to the committee clerk; and
  3. that the provisions of this motion expire as of Monday, January 26, 2026, unless otherwise ordered.

At 6:20 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
