Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, October 23, 2025, the committee resumed consideration of the subject matter of Bill C-12, An Act respecting certain measures relating to the security of Canada's borders and the integrity of the Canadian immigration system and respecting other related security measures.

Jason Hollmann made a statement and, with Tara Lang, Aaron McCrorie and Karen Hamilton, answered questions.

At 4:33 p.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 4:42 p.m., the meeting resumed in camera.

It was agreed, — That the draft letter, as amended, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the Chair, clerk and analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the letter.

ORDERED, — That the Chair send the letter to the Chair of the Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security.

ORDERED, — That the clerk, in consultation with the Chair, publish the letter on the committee’s website and for distribution, upon the letter being sent to the Chair of the Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security.

At 4:52 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
