Pursuant to the order of reference of Thursday, December 11, 2025, the committee resumed consideration of Bill C-13, An Act to implement the Protocol on the Accession of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $8,250, for the study of Bill C-13, An Act to implement the Protocol on the Accession of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership, be adopted.

Jeff Nankivell, Claire Citeau, Jorge Correa, and René Roy made statements and, with Stephen Heckbert, answered questions.

At 11:59 a.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 12:05 p.m., the meeting resumed.

Edwina Melville-Gray, Tyler Fulton, and Martin Buckle made statements and answered questions.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the study of Bill C-18:

that the committee schedule two meetings to hear from witnesses;

that committee members submit amendments to the clerk by 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 10; and

that the committee conduct clause-by-clause consideration of the bill on Thursday, February 12, 2026 and that the committee dedicate the number of meetings required for clause-by-clause consideration to be completed.

At 1:01 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
