Minutes of Proceedings
It was agreed, — That the committee begin on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, its study of the state of the journalism and media sectors in Canada and Quebec; that committee members submit their list of proposed witnesses, by order of priority, to the clerk of the committee by Friday, February 6, 2026 at noon.
It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the committee undertake a comprehensive study on the state of creative and performance spaces across Canada and what role they play in supporting the next generation of artists;
That the committee report its findings and recommendations to the House; and
That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the committee request that the government table a comprehensive response to the report.
At 11:28 a.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
