Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, the committee resumed its study of monitoring of the rehabilitation services contract awarded to PCVRS.

Richard Brown and Steve Burton made statements and answered questions.

Motion

Blake Richards moved, — That the committee invite the Minister of Veterans Affairs to appear before the committee for no fewer than two hours on the Supplementary Estimates (A) 2026-2027, on or before Wednesday, June 17, 2026.

Debate arose thereon.

Amendment

Sean Casey moved, — That the motion be amended by replacing the words “no fewer than two hours” with the words “no less than one hour”, and by replacing the words “on or before June 17th, 2026” with the words “in Autumn 2026”.

Subamendment

Marie-Hélène Gaudreau moved, — That the motion be amended by replacing the words “in Autumn 2026” with the words “by the end of October 2026”.

After debate, the question was put on the subamendment of Marie-Hélène Gaudreau and it was agreed to.

The motion, as amended, read as follows:

That the committee invite the Minister of Veterans Affairs to appear before the committee for no less than one hour on the Supplementary Estimates (A) 2026-2027, by the end of October 2026.
