Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the subcommittee on Friday, September 23, 2022, the subcommittee resumed its study of the rights and freedoms of women globally and of women in Afghanistan, Iran and Saudi Arabia.

Laila Ghasem Rashid, Marie Malavoy and Horia Mosadiq made statements and, with David Payne, answered questions.

At 2:06 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 2:14 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

Committee Business
The subcommittee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to subcommittee business.

At 2:48 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
