Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the subcommittee on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, the subcommittee proceeded to a briefing on the Current Situation in Iran.

The witnesses made statements and answered questions.

At 7:54 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 8:02 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

Committee Business
The subcommittee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $1,250.00, for the Briefing on the Current Situation in Iran, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 108 (2), the subcommittee undertake a briefing session on the persecution of religious and ethnic minorities in Afghanistan, including but not limited to the situation of Hazaras, Sikhs, and Hindus, and that the briefing be held on Tuesday, June 22, 2021.

It was agreed, — That in relation to the Briefing session, the members submit suggested witnesses list to the Clerk by 2:00 p. m. on Wednesday, June 16, 2021.

At 8:13 p.m., the subcommittee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
