On motion of Yasmin Ratansi, it was agreed, — That Judy A. Sgro be elected Chair of the committee.
At 6:37 p.m., Judy A. Sgro took the Chair.
On motion of Kelly Block, it was agreed, — That David Sweet be elected Vice-Chair of the committee.
On motion of Yasmin Ratansi, it was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 107(6), a Subcommittee on Committee Budgets be established to approve committees’ budget requests and that the membership of the subcommittee be composed of the Chair and the Vice-Chair of the committee, as well as three other Government members, and one other member of the Official Opposition, as appointed by their respective whips.
On motion of Yasmin Ratansi, it was agreed, — That the clerk of the committee be authorized to make the necessary arrangements to provide working meals for the committee and its subcommittees, provided that members have confirmed their physical presence for the meeting.
On motion of Yasmin Ratansi, it was agreed, — That the committee retain, as needed and at the discretion of the Chair, the services of one or more analysts from the Library of Parliament to assist it in its work.
It was agreed, — That the committee proceed to sit in camera.
At 6:42 p.m., the sitting was suspended.
At 6:55 p.m., the sitting resumed.
The committee commenced consideration of a draft report.
It was agreed, — That the draft report be adopted.
It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: “Committee Activities and Expenditures – April 1, 2019 – March 31, 2020”.
It was agreed, — That the Chair, Clerk and analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.
ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.
The committee commenced consideration of a draft report.
It was agreed, — That the draft report be adopted.
It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: “Committee Activities and Expenditures – April 1, 2020 – August 18, 2020”.
It was agreed, — That the Chair, Clerk and analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.
ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.
The clerk made a presentation on administrative matters to the committee and answered questions.
At 7:42 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
