The House resumed consideration of the motion of Ms. Freeland (Minister of International Trade), seconded by Ms. Hajdu (Minister of Status of Women), — That Bill C-30, An Act to implement the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement between Canada and the European Union and its Member States and to provide for certain other measures, be now read a second time and referred to the Standing Committee on International Trade.

The House resumed consideration of the motion of Ms. Freeland (Minister of International Trade), seconded by Ms. Hajdu (Minister of Status of Women), — That Bill C-30, An Act to implement the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement between Canada and the European Union and its Member States and to provide for certain other measures, be now read a second time and referred to the Standing Committee on International Trade.

The debate continued.

Private Members' Business

At 5:30 p.m., pursuant to Standing Order 30(6), the House proceeded to the consideration of Private Members' Business.

The Order was read for the second reading and reference to the Standing Committee on Justice and Human Rights of Bill C-305, An Act to amend the Criminal Code (mischief).

Mr. Arya (Nepean), seconded by Ms. Sidhu (Brampton South), moved, — That the Bill be now read a second time and referred to the Standing Committee on Justice and Human Rights.

Debate arose thereon.

Pursuant to Standing Order 93(1), the Order was dropped to the bottom of the order of precedence on the Order Paper.

Adjournment Proceedings

At 6:30 p.m., pursuant to Standing Order 38(1), the question “That this House do now adjourn” was deemed to have been proposed.

After debate, the question was deemed to have been adopted.
