Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(a) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, January 28, 2016, the Committee resumed its study of initiatives toward a family-friendly House of Commons.

Kareen Jabre, by videoconference from Geneva, Switzerland, Nancy Peckford and Gary Levy made statements and, with Grace Lore, by teleconference from Vancouver, British Columbia, answered questions.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(a)(iii),the Committee commenced its review of the Standing Orders, procedure and practice in the House and its committees.

On motion of Scott Reid, it was agreed, — That, further to the request received from the Standing Committee on Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development, the Committee report to the House recommending an amendment to Standing Order 104(2)(a) to change its name to “Standing Committee on Indigenous and Northern Affairs”.

At 12:50 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
