Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(a)(iii) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, November 2, 2017, the Committee resumed its study of the use of Indigenous languages in proceedings of the House of Commons.

Bronwyn Brady, by videoconference from Endinburgh, Scotland, and Malcolm Williams made statements and, with Ruth Connelly, by videoconference from Endinburgh, Scotland, and Linda Orton, by videoconference from Endinburgh, Scotland, answered questions.

At 11:30 a.m., Blake Richards took the Chair.

At 11:55 a.m., Larry Bagnell took the Chair.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the study of the use of Indigenous languages in proceedings of the House of Commons, the Clerk of the Northern Territory Legislative Assembly in Australia be invited to appear by videoconference on the evening of Wednesday, May 23, 2018.

At 12:02 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
