The Standing Committee on Finance met in a televised session at 9:35 a.m. this day, in Room 237-C, Centre Block, the Chair, Maurizio Bevilacqua, presiding.
Member(s) of the Committee present: Sue Barnes, Carolyn Bennett, Maurizio Bevilacqua, Scott Brison, Roy Cullen, Ken Epp, Jason Kenney, Sophia Leung, Yvan Loubier, Shawn Murphy, Lorne Nystrom.
In attendance: From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Marc-André Pigeon, Research Officer.
Witness(es): As Individual: Ghislain Fournier, M.P. (Manicouagan). From the Canadian Wireless Telecommunications Association: Peter Barnes, President and Chief Executive Officer; J. Pursuant to Standing Order 83.1, the Committee continued its Pre-Budget Consultations.
Ghislain Fournier, Peter Barnes, Dr. Patricia Clements, Marcel Lauzière, Dr. Russell Taylor, Peter Janson and Harvey Weiner made statements and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.
At 11:10 a.m., the sitting was suspended.
At 11:15 a.m., the sitting resumed.
David Robinson, Gary Shaddock, Harvey Wiener, John Staple, Ian Boyko, Gerald Brown and Liam Arbuckle made statements and, with the other witness, answered questions.
At 12:38 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
