Ms. Davies (Vancouver East), seconded by Mr. Riis (Kamloops, Thompson and Highland Valleys), moved, -- That, in the opinion of this House, the federal government should encourage the CRTC to establish regulations that require telephone companies to assist community agencies with providing affordable voice mail service to Canadians who cannot afford, or do not have access to telephone service. (Private Members' Business M-361)

GOVERNMENT ORDERS
Notice having been given at a previous sitting under the provisions of Standing Order 78(3), Mr. Boudria (Leader of the Government in the House of Commons), seconded by Ms. Robillard (President of the Treasury Board), moved, -- That, in relation to Bill C-11, An Act to authorize the divestiture of the assets of, and to dissolve, the Cape Breton Development Corporation, to amend the Cape Breton Development Corporation Act and to make consequential amendments to other Acts, not more than one further sitting day shall be allotted to the consideration of the second reading stage of the Bill; and
That, fifteen minutes before the expiry of the time provided for Government Orders on the day allotted to the consideration of the second reading stage of the said Bill, any proceedings before the House shall be interrupted, if required for the purpose of this Order, and in turn every question necessary for the disposal of the stage of the Bill then under consideration shall be put forthwith and successively without further debate or amendment.
