On Thursday, September 25, 2025, the Standing Committee on Official Languages adopted the following motion:
That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)f), the Committee undertake a study on minority-language education continuum;
That, the Committee resume
the study begun during the 1st Session of the 44th Parliament and finish it;
That, the evidence and documents the Committee gathered during the 1st Session of the 44th Parliament be considered by the Committee during the current session;
That, the Committee invite the witnesses on the list prepared during the 1st Session of the 44th Parliament who have not yet had the chance to appear; and that Committee members be invited to submit new witnesses;
That, the Committee incorporate the evidence and documents the Committee gathered during the 1st Session of the 44th Parliament for the
study on federal funding for minority-language post-secondary institutions into the final report on that study;
That, the Committee report its findings to the House;
That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the government table a comprehensive response to the study; and
That the Committee devote a minimum of six meetings to this study.
