| In accordance with its Order of Reference of Wednesday, February 29, 2012, your Committee has considered Bill C-299, An Act to amend the Criminal Code (kidnapping of young person), and agreed on Thursday, May 30th, 2012, to report it with the following amendments: | Conformément à son Ordre de renvoi du mercredi 29 février 2012, votre Comité a étudié le projet de loi C-299, Loi modifiant le Code criminel (enlèvement d’une jeune personne), et a convenu le jeudi 30 mai 2012, d’en faire rapport avec les amendements suivants : |

| That Bill C-299, in Clause 1, be amended by replacing line 10 on page 1 with the following: | Que le projet de loi C-299, à l’article 1, soit modifié par substitution, à la ligne 10, page 1, de ce qui suit : |
“imprisonment for life and, unless the person who commits the offence is a parent, guardian or person having the lawful care or charge of the person referred to in that paragraph, to a minimum” | « minimale étant de cinq ans, sauf si le père, la mère, le tuteur ou une personne ayant la garde ou la charge légale de la personne visée par l’un de ces alinéas commet l’infraction, auquel cas il n’y a pas de peine minimale; » |
| That Bill C-299, in Clause 1, be amended by adding after line 12 on page 1 the following: | Que le projet de loi C-299, à l'article 1, soit modifié par adjonction, après la ligne 10, page 1, de ce qui suit : |
“(2) Section 279 of the Act is amended by adding the following after subsection (1.2): (1.21) In imposing a sentence under paragraph (1.1)(a.2), the court shall take into account the age and vulnerability of the victim.” | « (2) L'article 279 de la même loi est modifié par adjonction, après le paragraphe (1.2), de ce qui suit : (1.21) Le tribunal qui inflige une peine en application de l'alinéa (1.1)a.2) prend en considération l'âge et le degré de vulnérabilité de la victime. » |
