| THAT, pursuant to Standing Order 97(1), the Standing Committee on Industry, Science and Technology be authorized to continue its deliberations beyond Friday, June 11, 2010. | QUE, conformément à l'article 97(1), le Comité permanent de l'industrie, des sciences et de la technologie soit autorisé à poursuivre ses délibérations au delà du vendredi 11 juin 2010. |
| Your Committee's request for an extension is due to the fact that in order to give the Bill proper consideration, it will be necessary to schedule meetings to hear the views and comments of a wide-range of witnesses prior to the clause by clause study of Bill C-309. | La demande de prolongation de votre Comité est fondée sur le fait que pour pouvoir étudier convenablement le projet de loi, le Comité devra tenir des séances afin d'entendre le point de vue et les observations d'un large éventail de témoins avant l'étude article par article du projet de loi C-309. |
