Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), and a motion adopted by the Committee on Monday, June 8, 2009, your Committee recommended:

Conformément à l'article 108(2) du Rêglement et la motion adoptée par le Comité le lundi 8 juin 2009 votre Comité recommande :

That the Standing Committee on Access to Information, Privacy and Ethics notes with deep concern recent decisions by the Treasury Board regarding funding for the Office of the Information Commissioner of Canada and calls on the government to immediately end its interference in the budget and mandate of the Office of the Information Commissioner of Canada by ensuring approval of the full complement of resources requested and recommended by the Advisory Panel on the Funding and Oversight of Officers of Parliament for the Office of the Information Commissioner of Canada.

Que le Comité permanent de l’accès à l’information, à la protection des renseignements personnels et à l’éthique prenne note avec une profonde inquiétude des décisions récentes du Conseil du Trésor au sujet du financement du Commissariat à l’information du Canada et demande au gouvernement de cesser immédiatement de s’ingérer dans l’élaboration du budget et le mandat du Commissariat à l’information du Canada en assurant l’approbation de la totalité du complément de ressources demandées et recommandées par le Comité consultatif sur le financement à l’intention des hauts fonctionnaires du Parlement pour le Commissariat à l’information du Canada.
