Ottawa, June 9, 1999 – The Standing Committee on Canadian Heritage will host a News Conference on its report "A Sense of Place : A Sense of Being: The Evolving Role of the Federal Government in Support of Culture in Canada" on Thursday, June 10, 1999 at 10:15 a.m. at the National Press Theatre, National Press Building, 150 Wellington Street.Following the the presentation of by the National Hockey League (NHL) before the Sub-Committee on the Study of Sport in Canada of the Standing Committee on Canadian Heritage, a press conference will be held in the National Press Theatre (150 Wellington Street) at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 28, 1998. Mr. Gary Bettman, Commissioner of the NHL In attendance will be: Gary Bettman, Commissioner of the NHL, Stephen Bellringer, President and CEO, Orca Bay Sports, Vancouver Canucks; Glen Sather, President and General Manager, Edmonton Oilers; Ronald Corey, President and Governor, Montreal Canadiens; Rod Bryden, Chairman and Governor, Ottawa Senators; Ken Dryden, President and General Manager, Toronto Maple Leafs; and Harley Hotchkiss, Governor, Calgary Flames and also Chairman of NHL Board of Governors, Calgary Flames. will hold a press conference in the National Press Theatre, (150 Wellington Street) at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 28, 1998.

Ottawa le 9 juin 1999 –.Le Comité du patrimoine canadien tiendra une conférence de presse sur son rapport "Appartenance et identité : l'évolution du rôle du gouvernement fédéral pour soutenir la culture au Canada" le jeudi 10 juin 1999 à 10 h 15. La conférence aura lieu à l'Amphithéâtre national de la presse, Édifice de la presse nationale, 150, rue Wellington.Suite à la présentation de la Ligue Nationale de Hockey (LNH) devant le Sous-comité sur l'étude du sport au Canada du Comité permanent du Patrimoine cCanadien, se tiendra une conférence de presse le mardi 28 avril 1998 à 11 h 30 au Théâtre de la presse nationale. Seront présents : M. The News Conference will be preceeded by a "lock up" from 9:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. also held at the National Press Theatre.
