It was agreed, — That the next study of the committee be on Canada's dual use and defence research needs and the motion adopted on February 9, 2026, which reads as follows: That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(i), the Standing Committee on Science and Research undertake a study on the role of universities and colleges, the National Research Council Canada, industry experts and federal departments in supporting Canada’s dual use and defence research needs as a component of NATO spending targets; that the committee hold at least four meetings; and that the committee report its findings to the House and request a government response.

It was agreed, — That, regarding the study on Canada's dual use and defence research needs, that parties submit their partial list of witnesses, in order of priority, to the clerk of the committee, no later than Friday, April 24, 2026, and their complete list of witnesses no later than Monday, April 27, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.

It was agreed, — That the committee invite the president of the National research council to appear before the committee for a briefing session on Thursday, June 4, 2026.

It was agreed, — That the committee invite the Chief Science Advisor to appear before the committee for a briefing session either on Monday, June 1, or Monday, June 8, 2026.
