At 5:21 p.m., the meeting was suspended.
At 5:29 p.m., the meeting resumed in camera.
The subcommittee commenced consideration of a draft report.
It was agreed, — That the draft report be adopted.
It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "Standing with Democracy and Human Rights Defenders: Strengthening Support at a Critical Time".
It was agreed, — That the Chair, clerk and analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.
It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the committee request that the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development request that the government table a comprehensive response to the report.
ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development.
It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $8,600, for the briefing on the situation of Tibetan children placed in schools administered by the People's Republic of China, be adopted.
It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $10,650, for the briefing on human rights in the Caribbean region, be adopted.
At 5:33 p.m., the subcommittee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
