Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on September 18, 2025, the committee resumed its study of Canadian energy exports.

The committee proceeded to give drafting instructions to the analysts for a draft report.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $2,000, for the study of Departmental plan 2026-2027 of the Department of Natural Resources Canada, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $36,000, for the study of Canada’s Electrification, Energy Self-Sufficiency and Domestic Energy Security, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That with regards to the motion adopted by the committee on April 23, 2026, regarding departmental plans, it be an instruction to the Clerk to write the respective departments and agencies, that, for the purpose of the first set of reports due by no later than June 5, 2026, a simple letter to the committee from Natural Resources Canada on behalf of each department and agency will suffice.

At 4:16 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
