Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on September 18, 2025, the committee resumed its study of Canadian energy exports.

Alison Nankivell and Chris Cooper made statements and answered questions.

At 11:57 a.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 12:04 p.m., the meeting resumed in camera.

Fred Ghatala, Imran Noorani and Stéphane Renou made statements and answered questions.

On motion of Mario Simard, it was agreed, — That further to its study on the forestry industry, the committee hold an additional meeting and invite the co-chairs of the Canadian Forest Sector Transformation Task Force, Ken Kalesnikoff of Kalesnikoff Mass Timber and Frédéric Verreault of Chantiers Chibougamau, to appear for one hour, and that the meeting take place as soon as possible.

Questioning of the witnesses resumed.

At 1:06 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
