Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on September 18, 2025, the committee resumed its study of Canadian energy exports.

Gurpreet Lail and Stephen Buffalo made statements and answered questions.

At 12:02 p.m., the meeting resumed.

At 12:55 p.m., the meeting resumed in camera.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, September 18, 2025, the committee resumed its study of the development of critical minerals in Canada.

The committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

It was agreed, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "An Extraordinary Opportunity for Canada: The Development of Critical Minerals".

It was agreed, — That the Chair, clerk and analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the committee request that the government table a comprehensive response to the report.

It was agreed, — That dissenting or supplementary opinions be in Calibri 12-point font, left aligned, single-spaced, and be submitted electronically, in both official languages, to the clerk of the committee, not later than 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28, 2026.

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $1,000, for the study of Main Estimates 2026-27: Vote 1 under Atomic Energy of Canada Limited, Vote 1 under Canadian Energy Regulator, Vote 1 under Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission, Votes 1, 5 and 10 under Department of Natural Resources, Vote 1 under Northern Pipeline Agency, be adopted.

At 1:03 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
