Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(g) and the motion adopted by the committee on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, the committee resumed consideration of the report on the Canada Revenue Agency Contact Centres, of the 2025 Fall Reports of the Auditor General of Canada.

The Minister made a statement and, with Melanie Serjak, answered questions.

Notice of Motion

Sébastien Lemire gave notice of the following motion:

That the committee report to the House to request that the government establish a public and independent inquiry into cost overruns on IT contracts, including Phoenix, ArriveCAN and Benefit Delivery Modernization.

Questioning of the witnesses resumed.

At 5:16 p.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 5:22 p.m., the meeting resumed.

Pursuant to the order of reference of Monday, February 9, 2026, the committee commenced consideration of Bill C-230, An Act to amend the Financial Administration Act and to make consequential amendments to other Acts (debt forgiveness registry).

Adam Chambers made a statement and answered questions.
