The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $500, for the briefing with the Interim Parliamentary Budget Officer on his extensive analysis of the government’s 2025 budget, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $2,750, for the study of creation and planning of the Defence Investment Agency, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $1,500, for the study of Supplementary Estimates (B) 2025-26, be adopted.

Motion

Iqra Khalid moved, — That the committee invite officials from Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada and Stellantis to provide their rationale as to why some portions of the provided contracts remain redacted.

Debate arose thereon.

Amendment

Pauline Rochefort moved, — That the motion be amended by adding after the word “invite” the following: “to appear”.

The motion, as amended, read as follows:

That the committee invite to appear officials from Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada and Stellantis to provide their rationale as to why some portions of the provided contracts remain redacted.

It was agreed, — That, for its meeting scheduled for Tuesday, November 25, 2025, the relevant officials from Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada and representatives of Stellantis be invited to appear to discuss the documentation provided to the committee in response to its motion for the production of papers adopted on Monday, October 20, 2025, and the reasons for redactions in said documents, provided that, in anticipation of this meeting, the clerk be instructed to send an electronic copy of these documents to the private parliamentary email addresses of the members, or to deliver a paper copy by hand to each of the members of the committee.

At 11:42 a.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
