Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, the committee resumed its study of the bail system, sentencing and the handling of repeat violent offenders in Canada.

Meechelle Best, Jeremy Morton, Jennifer Dunn and Mark Baxter made statements and, with Ron Best, answered questions.

At 4:54 p.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 5:02 p.m., the meeting resumed.

Stéphane Wall, André Gélinas, Adam Dalrymple, Thomas Carrique and Patrick Rivard made statements and answered questions.

At 6:31 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
